About TPTLA

Our Mission

To serve the members and their constituents, including property owners throughout Texas, tax assessor collectors, mortgage lienholders and others. The TPTLA raises awareness of property tax lending, and promotes high standards of behavior and conduct.

Who We Are

The Texas Property Tax Lienholders Association is a statewide alliance of companies that advance and protect the profession of property tax lending while upholding high standards of ethical conduct and operating in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and administrative rules.

Our Purpose

• To raise the level of professionalism in the industry;
• To have a "shared voice" in communicating with important constituents;
• To strengthen the Association with meaningful programs and activities that will encourage and utilize expanding membership and participation;
• To safeguard and advance the interests of its members by presenting the industry’ s viewpoint to the media, the public, and appropriate legislative, administrative, and regulatory bodies, and by developing a working relationship with appropriate government bodies;
• To advance the levels of knowledge available to the membership through the collection, interpretation, and dissemination of information on subjects appropriate to the industry;
• To work for the industry and public interest through cooperation with other organizations, government agencies, and the media in industry-wide projects to achieve the Association’s mission;
• To work with appropriate government agencies to develop and maintain a system of regulation for the industry;
• To encourage its members to know and be responsive to the needs and concerns of persons utilizing property tax lenders;
• To develop reasonable standards of conduct and responsibility for property tax lienholders;
• To promote and expand interchange within the industry; and
• To conduct other lawful activities of benefit to the industry as approved by the Board of Directors.
