Membership Cooperation
The greatest of all membership benefits is that of the exchange of ideas and industry experiences. By joining the Texas Property Tax Lieholders Association you can build a network of friends in the business.
Membership Logo
Members receive TPTLA logos for display on their business cards, signs and letterhead to indicate their membership to the general public.
Agency Liaison
Through TPTLA headquarters in Austin, the association has established good working relations with the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner (the OCCC), our industry's regulator. Our input is often sought before agency rules are adopted.
Legislative Protection
TPTLA gives you strong representation before the state legislature and administrative bodies that have the right to regulate you. Only when many voices speak as one are your interests protected. TPTLA monitors the activities of the legislature and agencies whose rulings affect your business.
Website
TPTLA currently maintains a website at www.tptla.org that provides information for members and the general public about tax lending, a list of TPTLA members and links to their websites, links to tax lending regulations and information and other useful resources to members.
Education Programs
TPTLA promotes educational programs to further enhance the knowledge and competence of property tax lienholders. Improve and update your technical and business knowledge by attending the annual meeting, featuring roundtable discussion with peers and seminars from industry speakers.
Full-Time Staff
TPTLA maintains a professional staff, including a lobbyist, attorney and association manager to take care of member needs. Staff works with members, elected leaders and agency employees in the development and implementation of member services. Call the office at (512) 479-0425 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or fax (512) 495-9031 or e-mail info@tptla.org, seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
